Wynnwith Group awarded RAF support contract

Wynnwith Group, the leading provider of engineering and technical recruitment services, has been awarded a three year agreement to support the Royal Air Force in maintaining and repairing it’s fleet of CH-47 Chinook helicopters based at RAF Odiham in Hampshire. The agreement will initially involve the provision of approximately forty specialist staff. The Chinook is a mainstay of military activities and is currently in active service in a number of theatres.

Commenting on the new contract Steve Howard, Operations Director for Wynnwith’s aerospace and defence activities said, “RAF Odiham is an important next step in the development of Wynnwith’s services to support the UK MoD. It builds on our experience with both fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and at other bases like Middle Wallop and Benson where we are committed to delivering long-term and value-adding services to support these key defence sites.”

RAF Station Commander Group Captain Andy Turner states, “I would like to extend a warm welcome to Wynnwith. The support provided under the new contract, in the form of engineering and logistic personnel, is an essential element of ‘Team Chinook’ and our ability to provide aircraft for worldwide operations and Afghanistan in particular. I would like to thank Wynnwith for the positive manner in which they have managed the transition from the previous arrangements and look forward to a successful and highly productive partnership.”
